Leave Granite Citadel to Tasca's Demise, fight/run through armies of summit drawves to Mineral Spring. Continue to head north east, meeting Avicaras, Tundra Giants and pinecones. Better to go counter clockwise to activate a Res Shrine that is nearer to the cave than the one at the portal of Mineral Spring. Outside and inside of the cave, there are loads of ice imps and maybe a siege golem and a mountain troll. In the back of the cave, there'll be an Ice beast, and Azure Shadows popping out of the ground. Take Signet of Capture for elite skills as there are an Avicara boss for each profession in Mineral Springs.

At the northern-most point of Mineral Springs, there's a cave with a Statue of Lyssa inside. That cave is filled with Ice Imps that can potentially drop IDSes. The build given is great, but the IDS drop rate is aweful. I've done my fair share of runs and I still haven't gotten one.

IDS only drops from the ice imps in the cave at the far end of Mineral Springs. People generally take the southern path, as I heard its a lot harder through the northern pass.

You generally need to be a mesmer and grab elemental resistance to make the imps/siege golems do close to 0 damage with their attacks and spells.

Essential Skills:
Sprint - run run run!
Charge - more running XD
Dolyak Signet - that extra 30 ish armor + cannot be knocked down is pretty darn useful
Watch Yourself - an extra 20 armor at no cost is pretty good, essential for
reducing those last points of damage if you don't have superior absorption or a -2 -2 shield.
Healing Signet (if you solo) - Pretty much the only way to heal yourself as you're a mesmer secondary.

I generally like to bring Balanced Stance for running past the giants. It's faster to kill with cyclone axe + executioner's axe, but I find that trolls do quite a bit of damage, plus if their disrupting chop kills your healing signet, you might be screwed.

Some people have suggested using riposte and sword skills for the trolls, so you can cast your healing sig without being interrupted, plus good damage.

If there's avicara in front of the imps, its possible to only pull 2 at a time. Just pull them and keep running away, a LOT of times 2 of the casters while continue to chase you while the warriors run away, use this chance to kill them. They tend to blind you a lot though, so that might be troublesome.

I usually run this with my monk/warrior friend, and I heard because of the siege golems/trolls, its probably more effecient to run it with somebody else than just to solo.

The drop rates for the swords are pretty random. My friend and I got 2 IDS in our first 2 runs, then it was another 10 or so before we got another. Finally, it took another 8 or so before we got 2 more in the same run. Overall, its definately not worth it if you're looking to sell the IDS for profit, as each IDS sells for 25k, and it takes anywhere from 20-40 minutes to do each run, and the chances of IDS isn't all that great.
